Firstly, PLEASE don’t believe anyone who says that “you can earn $342,356 a month with no effort at all”. It is complete crap and they are trying to scam you. It continues to amaze and annoy me how so many people can and continue to get away with this. I see people trying to do this all the time and too often people fall for it. Please don’t let yourself be one of them.

Internet Marketing is work and if you put in the effort and implement the right strategies, it CAN and usually WILL pay off. Hopefully my Internet Marketing strategies that I post here will help you make money online like me and you too can see a healthy AND passive income online.

 

About me

 

I’m Ilana and I founded this website, OnlineIncomeDollars.com. I’m an aspiring entrepreneur, dedicated internet marketer, and reluctant IT geek living in Australia. No, I’m not a millionaire, but I have managed to generate a nice income online whilst working from home and raising my 2 gorgeous children…. on my terms! No more asking for days off – yeehaaa. I’ll drink to that!

My Story

I graduated from university and pursued a career in IT (for 5 years) and Funds Management (for the next 5 years). I used to put on a suit every day and work ‘9-to-5’, although realistically, it was more like 7-7. I put a lot of effort into my career and although I never liked the corporate culture nor was any good at climbing the corporate ladder (they usually go hand in hand), I really enjoyed my job.

Then one day in 2008, I told my boss that I was pregnant with my first child. Although I still had 5 months left to work before I went on maternity leave, everything in my job changed on that day. I was taken off all projects that I was working on and was not given any work to do. Although they never came out and said it, I was effectively seen as worthless and of no use to the company. As someone who loved what they did, this was devastating.

When I was due to return to work, I requested to work part-time and this request was denied (no surprise!). Yes, I could have tried to find another job, but knowing the demands of the industry, finding a suitable work-life balance was going to be challenging to say the least.

From that day on, I was determined to work for myself, on my own terms.

And so began my Internet Marketing journey…. Below is a picture of me with my son (who is trying to bite my cheek). One of the perks of working in internet marketing means that I can travel whenever I want, and this picture was taken on one of my many trips.

My first year ‘working online’, I hardly made enough to buy a coffee, seriously! But I was determined to make it work and persisted till I got results. As a result, I am able to live my dream – work for myself from home. My goal is to surpass what I was earning whilst in a job, and although I am not there yet, I am well on my way.

This blog contains information on all that I have learned and continue to learn along the way.
